The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking to buy a mid-priced robot vacuum and mop. It provides a fantastic mopping experience but lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to take on dust and dry oats on carpets with medium piles as well as pet hair on hard flooring. It does not use LIDAR however, as other models do to locate your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the best-rated robots. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, such as an area for dirt that is integrated into the base of charging. The robot will learn your habits for cleaning and recommend automatic schedules to provide you with a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the click of a button. You can select the general clean option which focuses on the elimination of larger debris such as rice and cereal. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that your entire home is cleaned thoroughly.

This robot vacuum performs well on both floors that are bare and carpet with a low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some others do, and it can even remove pet hair without much difficulty. It's a challenge with high-pile carpets or plush carpets, but iRobot says that future models will be better.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which focuses on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to hug walls and furniture. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are widely used however we found it to be just marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with a superior filtering system that blocks microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating in your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the price price.

Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to store the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. It can then clean your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundary markers so that the robot knows which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine vacuuming and mopping the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are just as effective as those found on more expensive models. Its mopping system is even better - its spinning pads scrub your floors much more effectively than an ordinary pad that vibrates.

The only drawback is the absence of a second brush to allow for more thorough cleaning. But that's not a big deal for those who want to own one of the best robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank is larger than many of its competitors and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the highest dirt level.

In terms of the mopping device, I was amazed by its ability to remove the tough dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest that are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, produce very little noise, which allows you to work or watch TV without interruption. If it encounters the wall or a furniture piece it gently bumps into it and then moves on.

What makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly autonomously with very little need for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and can automatically transfer garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app will only inform you if something is wrong, such as the water tank being empty or a cancelled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.

You can also create or combine rooms to alter the way Q Revo manages your home. This is an excellent feature if you have multiple areas of your home with different flooring materials or there's some clutter that needs to be cleaned out frequently, such as clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum was also among the top performers in my test, picking up debris on carpets as well as hardwood floors on the first pass. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying them with a towel before sending it to.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop and more. It has a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also has a sensor system that can detect obstacles better, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture and other objects.

The most notable improvement to the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. This is due to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet in height and depth and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot itself and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1, as it has faster battery charging and can complete a cleaning of around 1,500 square feet with just one charge. It also has a larger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Lastly it is worth noting that the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and voice assistant that operates offline, so you can manage it even when not at home. It also has an intelligent routing feature that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a predetermined path.

The X2 Omni is the top robot for mopping. Its mop pads rotating scrub away tough stains, and its motor generates plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It comes with a huge, rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days. The mopping feature of the robot is also powerful.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and robot vacuum that comes with a variety of convenience features you don't often see on robots in this price. It has the ability to create precise floor maps, recognize different flooring types, and it's one of the few to automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These features are nice but they also make the L10s more of a premium category. This could mean it's more expensive than what homeowners would need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's slim and tall, with a white finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving around the home. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that basically is a switch for on and website off. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The circular menu located in the center of the control panel lets users to select cleaning options as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons open the settings of the app which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to help you map out your home. This helps the robot mop and vacuum efficiently without getting stuck. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and identify them, which is an excellent feature for households with pets or young children.

The L10s Ultra is an efficient vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hard floors, and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stains. The mops are also efficient, clearing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. It wasn't as effective at removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
