The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you are looking for a robot mop and vacuum that's priced in the middle. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but it lacks the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium pile. However, unlike other models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to help you map your home.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It is a powerful cleaner and plenty of features that include the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. This robot can learn your cleaning habits, and recommend automatic schedules to provide you with a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning functions with the push of the button. You can choose an overall clean which focuses on the elimination of larger pieces of debris like cereal and rice. You can also select two detailed mappings to ensure that the entire home is cleaned thoroughly.

This vacuum works well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It can remove pet hair and sucks large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not able to work with high-pile carpets or plush carpets, but iRobot says that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that focuses on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which it hopes will allow it to hug walls and furniture. It's a great improvement over the traditional hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.

The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, and create virtual boundary markers, so that it knows to avoid areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine vacuuming and mopping the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those on higher-end models. And its mopping system is superior - its spinning pads scrub floors better than a vibrating pad.

It's only downside is the lack of a second brush to allow for more thorough cleaning. However, that's not a problem if you want to own one of the best robots on the market. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also larger than many of its rivals and takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even with the maximum dirt level.

In terms of the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less abrasive than the more powerful ones, generate very little noise, which allows you to work or watch TV without interruption. If it comes into contact with an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture it gently bumps into it and moves along.

The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical trash into the bin hidden from view and washes and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is not right like low water levels or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to the bin being full.

You can also combine or create actual rooms to personalize the way Q Revo handles your home. That's a handy feature for those who have multiple areas of the home with different flooring materials or if there's a lot of items that need to be removed regularly, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, picking up dirt from carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It has a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with a self-cleaning base station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them free of germs and ready to use again. It also has a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately and prevents it from falling onto furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the sleeker, more modern design. This is due to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still large--it has a height of more than two feet height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

The mops are also cleaning robots efficient, clearing 98.4 percent of debris from our wood, tile, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as efficient in dealing with sand on the floor, or the quaker oats that are on carpet.
